This late production revolver was manufactured in 1870 and has a brass blade front sight, "-ADDRESS COL. SAML COLT NEW-YORK U.S. AMERICA-" on the barrel, "COLTS/PATENT" on the left side of the frame at the front, the Naval Battle of Campeche cylinder scene, special grip, and matching partial or full serial numbers on the cylinder, arbor pin, barrel, frame, trigger guard, and butt. The wedge is a replacement numbered to another gun. The case contains two packages of cartridges, a Colt patent powder flask, Colt patent dual cavity bullet mold, lead balls, and cap tin with reproduction label.

Rating Definition:

Fine with 70% of the bright original blue finish with refinish visible in the area of the professionally restamped serial numbers, strong original case colors on the loading lever and hammer, traces of professionally restored case colors on the frame, nice aged patina on the trigger guard, mostly brown patina on the balance, crisp markings, and minor dings and scratches. The replacement grip is fine and has numerous age cracks, attractive natural tones, somewhat loose fit and minor handling wear. Mechanically excellent. The relined case and accessories are very good with mostly minor age and storage related wear.
