The revolver was manufactured at Colt's London Armory in 1855. London proofmarks are located on the barrel and cylinder. The consignor's notes state the "UC/E/17" marking on the left side of the grip indicated it was issued to the Second York Troop of Upper Canada. It features a small post front sight, "-ADDRESS. COL. COLT. LONDON-" on the top of the barrel, "COLTS/PATENT" on the left side of the frame, primarily rounded head screws, the standard cylinder scene, iron grip straps, and matching serial numbers on the loading lever, barrel, wedge, cylinder pin, cylinder, frame, and grip straps.

Very good with mottled gray and brown patina throughout, mild pitting, mostly distinct markings, and moderate overall wear. The refinished grip is also very good and has some dings and scratches and minor edge wear. Mechanically fine.
