The casehardened flat top receiver is stamped with an unidentified "HP" proof and has a tang sight. Plain forearm with ebony inlay in the tip and straight grip stock with checkered steel buttplate. The accompanying factory letter lists this rifle with a No. 3 octagon barrel in .32 Extra Long caliber, and plain trigger when received in the warehouse on January 26 and shipped the next day. The rifle was returned in 1894 and outfitted with a No. 1 24 inch round barrel in .32 WCF and no rear seat.

Rating Definition:

Very fine. The factory replacement barrel retains 98% plus original blue finish with minimal handling marks. 90% factory refurbished case colors remain on the receiver, lever and hammer. The wood is also very fine with minor dings and scratches. Mechanically excellent.
