Manufactured in 1902 with the two-line Winchester address on the top barrel flat, caliber marking on the top left flat, and post-1905 Winchester factory oval proofs on the barrel and receiver at the breech. Fitted with Lyman dovetail beaded blade front, Lyman two-leaf rear, and tang mounted peep sights. Two-line patent marking and serial number on the lower tang. The receiver, forend cap, and crescent buttplate show special order case colors, and it is mounted with a smooth forearm and special order pistol grip stock with a hard rubber grip cap.

Very fine as factory refurbished, retains 75% factory case colors, 90% plus refinished blue, and about 50% original nitre blue on the loading gate with the balance a smooth grey patina. The refinished wood is very fine with some scattered light handling marks. Mechanically excellent.
