The barrel has the desirable early production legend: "HENRY'S-PATENT-OCT. 16. 1860/KING'S-PATENT-MARCH 29. 1866". The sights consists of a blade integral band and two-leaf rear sight. The bolt remains in its original rimfire configuration. A saddle ring is mounted on the left side of the receiver. The carbine stock is fitted with a trapdoor brass buttplate. Comes with a three-piece cleaning rod.

Rating Definition:

Very good plus. 20% original blue finish remains in the protected areas on the barrel and magazine, otherwise a mottled brown patina. The brass has a mottled untouched attractively aged patina. 30% original nitre blue remains on the loading gate. The wood is fine with a series of small divots near the stock toe, otherwise minor dings and scratches. Mechanically excellent.
