This is a seldom encountered Winchester 1885 High Wall shotgun. Only a few hundred of these are estimated to have been manufactured towards the end of production around 1913-1923. It has a brass bead front sight, two-line address and patent marking followed by "20 GA. FULL" on the left at the breech, 2 3/4 inch chamber, matted top of the receiver, the three-line patent and trademark marking on the upper tang, the serial number and "A" on the lower tang, a smooth Schnabel tip forearm with contrasting insert, and straight shotgun buttstock with a hard rubber Winchester buttplate and 13 3/8 inch length of pull.

Very fine as factory quality refinished with 95% blue finish, some patches of light pitting visible on the barrel, the usual minor marks and scratches on the metal and wood, a line along the right side of the action, repairs at the wrist, and some slight hairline cracks. Mechanically excellent.
