Description:

Manufactured in 1863 with cone and hammer notch sights, "-ADDRESS COL. SAML COLT NEW-YORK CITY U.S. AMERICA-" on the top of the barrel, standard cylinder scene and patent markings, "6" and "36 CAL" on the left side of the trigger guard, blank loading lever, "540" marked wedge, "0342" marked arbor pin, no visible number on the grip, "4096" on the cylinder, and "164096" on the barrel lug, frame, trigger guard, and back strap.

Rating Definition:

Good with 75% plus factory quality refinished blue finish (over mild pitting) on the barrel, 50% case colors on the frame and loading lever, original silver plating on the inside of the grip straps, aged patina on the brass, and mostly light gray and brown patina on the balance along with some minor spotting and pitting. The refinished grip is also good and has moderate edge wear, light scratches and dings, and repaired cracks at the top. Mechanically fine.
