Description:

Second Model Pocket revolver manufactured by James Warner of Springfield, Massachusetts, c. 1860. Total production of the Second Model revolver is estimated at a few hundred pieces. The serial number, "922", is stamped on the underside of the barrel, the left side of the frame beneath the grip and on the inside of both grips. All of the visible serial numbers match. The revolver has a high polish blue finish on the barrel, loading lever, frame and cylinder. The hammer and trigger are color casehardened. The two-piece rosewood grips have a high polish piano finish. The revolver is complete with a mahogany case with five compartments lined with dark green velvet. The case contains: (1) brass, double cavity, round ball bullet mold, (2) gold-plated, copper tin of 100 "Hicks Caps", (3) pocket pistol powder flask with fixed charger and brown lacquer body embossed on both sides with "bush" pattern, and (4) assortment of lead round ball bullets.

Rating Definition:

Excellent. The revolver retains 85% plus of the bright original high blue and casehardened finish. The serial numbers and patent markings are sharp. The two-piece rosewood grips are in excellent condition and show minimal wear. The action functions perfectly. The case exterior is in excellent condition, and the green velvet lining is in fine condition. Accessories are also excellent.
