Casehardened box lock action with standard markings on the water table, flourishes of fine scroll engraving, matching "REMINGTON ARMS CO." maker's marks on the sides, matching engraved trigger guard and tangs, dual triggers, and automatic sliding tang safety. Multi-point checkered walnut pistol grip stock and forearm with Anson style push button latch, engraved fittings, blank initial oval, and checkered hard rubber buttplate.

Fine. 99% of the professionally restored blue, possibly at the factory, remains on the barrels with some light pitting visible at the breech end, and light though legible barrel markings. The action is also fine with 50% original case colors, heavy, rough oxidation and pitting on the trigger plate and right side of the action, and well-defined engraving. The wood is also fine with a small professional repair at the right rear of the forearm, freshened checkering, scattered small dings, and freshened rubbed oil finish. Mechanically excellent.
