Manufactured in 1884. The top of the barrel has the one-line Hartford address. The left side of the frame is stamped with the three-line patent dates marking followed by "U.S." David F. Clark's sub inspection "DFC" stamp is located on the underside of the barrel, bottom of the frame, and cylinder. A "P" proof mark is found on the barrel and cylinder. The right side of the grip has traces of a cartouche. The ejector rod has the correct bullseye head. Matching serial numbers are found on the frame, trigger guard, cylinder ("1595"), and barrel ("1595"). The replacement back strap is number 119493. The letter "G" is stamped under the trigger guard serial number.

Rating Definition:

Very good. Traces of original blue remain in/around the protected areas on the barrel and ejector housing and patterns of original case colors remain in the protected areas, otherwise a smooth brown-gray patina mixed with scattered mild pitting. The front sight has been modified during its period of use. The undersize replacement grip is good with worn high edge and numerous scattered dings and scratches. Mechanically excellent.
