Description:

These knives are often associated with the Old West and river boat gamblers in particular but were well-suited for use by anyone who wanted an affordable and readily concealable weapon that was fairly easy to use in self-defense. There are no visible markings on this example which has a 3 3/4 inch blade, 5 3/4 inch overall length, and a pinned buffalo horn handle.

Rating Definition:

Very good. The blade has mostly light gray patina, some patches of darker brown patina in the lower sections and shank, and some light oxidation/pitting. The tip is blunted, and the edges have minor wear. The handle has some minor cracking and a spot of chipping on the top at the shank.
