This case is designed to hold a Smith & Wesson No. 1 revolver, a cleaning rod, and 56 cartridges. The exterior has the likeness of a No. 1 First Issue model, several smaller renditions of the same as borders, scroll designs, and "MANUFACTURED ONLY BY/SMITH & WESSON,/SPRINGFIELD MASSACHUSETTS." The maroon interior has fancy scroll patterns on the lid lining.

Excellent, showing minimal handling marks on the exterior and typical minor high spot wear on the maroon lining. These cases are becoming harder to find, especially in this type of condition.
