This Registered Magnum is one of only 735 Registered Magnums manufactured with 8 3/4 inch barrels. The accompanying S&W registration certificate lists this revolver with an 8 3/4 inch barrel, Patridge front sight and square notch rear sight and registered by C.L. Watkins of Long Beach, California. Comes with the rare registration certificate mailing tube which is addressed to C.L. Watkins. At the time of this writing C.L. Watkins remains unidentified. "REG. 475" (a low registered number) is stamped on the inside of the frame, fitted with S&W checkered Magna grips, and matching serial numbers on the butt, cylinder and ejector shroud. The original box has the correct white label on the underside featuring the serial number and registered number and comes with the S&W trade mark and caution leaflets.

Excellent, retaining 99% original blue finish with very faint muzzle edge wear, a cylinder drag line and minimal handling evidence. 99% plus original case colors on the hammer and trigger. The grips are fine with a long hairline stress crack on the right panel towards the top, otherwise minimal handling evidence and crisp checkering overall. Mechanically excellent.
