Description:

Manufactured in 1919. Blade front and flat top "U" notch rear sights on slide with the two-line, one-block address and patent dates on the left side, "COLT AUTOMATIC/ CALIBRE 45" and the Rampant Colt on the right next ahead of the ejector port. The frame is "GOVERNMENT MODEL" marked, with "83" and "W/VP" on the trigger guard. Fitted with a long smooth trigger, knurled wide hammer, slide stop and thumb safety, short grip safety, flat mainspring housing, replacement "A" marked military two-tone magazine, checkered grips and a blued barrel with a polished chamber, marked "H" on the lug and "P" on the underside.

Rating Definition:

Fine, with 60% of the original blue finish, showing a gray patina on the grip frame, bright edge wear, scattered spotting and mild scratches, dents and handling marks. The grips are good, with some scuffing and dings. The magazine is dented twice on the right lower side. Mechanically excellent.
