Description:

1) Army tunic outfitted for a enlisted man with the 168th Aero Squadron, green wool construction with brass buttons, round "U.S." and "winged propeller" pins on the collar, an embroidered "168/propeller" patch on the right shoulder, and a set of three patches on the left shoulder above a pair of chevrons (red pointed up, blue pointed down). The patches are a black block capital "A", a circle divided into white and black quarters, and a winged skull on a black field. The large "A" is associated with the First Army Air Service, one of the largest and most actively engaged American air combat forces in World War One. No tags or markings are present on the interior. 2) Army tunic for a Battalion Sergeant Major of the 85th Aero Squadron, green wool construction with brass buttons, round collar pins, "85/propeller" on the right shoulder above the rank patch, and a unit emblem of a man sitting on top of the world on the left shoulder over one service chevron. The collar bears a tag from Majestic Tailors. The patch of young boy of the 85th Squadron is the same unit as in September sale, lot 1477. See Lt. Furber standing next to the DH-4 airplane with the boy.

Rating Definition:

Both are very good, with some mild wear.
