The shotgun has been configured in the style of a World War II trench gun with the addition of a "W" marked bayonet adaptor and four row ventilated handguard. The barrel has standard markings, 2 3/4 inch chamber, correctly extends past the end of the adaptor, is marked with the correct "flaming bomb" and "WP" proofs on top at the breech, and cylinder choke. The left rear of the receiver is correctly roll stamped "U.S. flaming bomb". With a round, 18 groove forearm and smooth pistol grip stock with the correct boxed "W.B." inspection cartouche and Ordnance Dept. crossed cannons stamp on the left side, leather MILSCO sling, and checkered hard rubber buttplate. With a Winchester "1917" dated bayonet with leather sheath, canvas ammunition pouch marked "U.S./POUCH, AMMUNITION/SHOTGUN"/"J.Q.M.D. 1944" on the front with part of a government contract Remington M19 shotgun shell box containing two full brass shells, and a "U.S. PROPERTY" marked box of Peters Victor shotgun shells.

Fine as reconfigured to a trench style shotgun with a small filled sight bead hole at the muzzle, 70% original blue finish, areas of edge wear, light spotting, surface scratches, and crisp distinct markings. The wood is also fine with crisp markings, small dings throughout, and broken and reglued buttplate. Mechanically excellent. Bayonet is good. Peters shotgun shell box is very good with some light corner and edge wear.
