The first serialized scaled replica of the iconic Browning Model 1917 water cooled machine gun manufactured by Tippmann Arms of New Haven, Indiana. Designed for semi-automatic only operation and chambered for the .22 LR cartridge, this fine, functioning replica is constructed of steel and brass with a polished blue finish and bright brass accents. The total length of the piece is 18 3/4 inches. Blade front and adjustable ladder rear sights, and "NO 001/MODEL 1917/TIPPMANN ARMS CO/NEW HAVEN IN" marking on the right side of the receiver. Includes a metal tripod, traverse and elevation mechanism, two non-disintegrating cloth ammunition belts containing 95 and 100 rounds of .22 LR ammunition respectively, double cavity ammunition crate, and fitted walnut storage case. Consecutively numbered to the following lot.

Excellent overall with 99% original bright polished blue finish and some small surface scratches and handling marks. Mechanically excellent. Case is very fine with some light peeling of the green felt interior and some minor exterior dings. Serial number 1 made firearms are always the top of the collecting field!
