This is an original Winchester signal cannon with "-NOT FOR BALL-" on top of the barrel, the "WP" proofmark on top at the breech, and the trademark data cast in raised letters on both cheeks of the carriage. Includes a modern production wooden "ONE/BREECH/LOADING/CANNON" crate with Winchester trademark information in red on each end and the sides.

Very good, retains about 40% of the period repainted black enamel over thinned brown patina on the barrel and 75% flaked black enamel on the carriage with the balance a smooth brown patina. Mechanically excellent. The modern crate is near mint with some minor handling/storage wear.
