Description:

Manufactured from 1932 through 1934, the Simson Luger was the first new-made Luger pistol to be acquired by Germany since the end of World War I. Selected over other firms for political reasons, the rise of the Nazis ended their position as the sole source of the Luger. Fixed sights, undated chamber area, standard Simson-marked front toggle along with the small "Eagle/6" proof on a number of components, "eagle" firing proofs and an "Eagle/33" on the extension. Full matching military-style numbers are present, including on the magazine base and grips, and the pistol is free of the "Police Model" sear and magazine well safeties. A fine straw finish is present on the small parts. It has a pair of checkered grips and a nickel finished alloy base magazine.

Rating Definition:

Excellent, with 90% plus of the original blue finish, showing brown patina on the grip straps, bright edge wear, and light handling marks. 80% of the bright original straw color is present, with a gray patina and mild spotting on the remainder. The grips are also excellent, with some dings and dark spots. Mechanically excellent.
