Manufactured in December 1944 (19.12 Showa). With typical late war features, overall blued finish, rough machined parts, standard markings, and smooth grips.

Excellent, with 90% plus original blue finish, showing areas of brown and gray patina, bright edge wear, mild spotting and scattered handling marks. The magazine has been restruck to match the pistol. The grips are very good, with some light dents. Mechanically excellent.

Manufactured in May of 1945 (20.5 Showa), with a "square" profile cocking piece and the late profile grip frame with appropriate shorter grip panels. According to Harry Derby in "The Hand Cannons of Imperial Japan" (page 161), the revised grip strap is recordied in the 70110-70464 serial number range (only 354 known examples), and "this late variant is extremely rare and should be considered a highly desirable collection addition."
