Manufactured in 1926 and subsequently lavishly embellished by Master Engraver Angelo Bee. With dual white bead sights on the matte, vent rib barrel with wedges of light scroll and a single gold band at the muzzle, standard barrel markings. 2 3/4 inch chamber, and modified (marked "FULL") choke. The choke, Winchester "WP", chamber, and serial number markings are gold inlaid. The receiver has full coverage scroll engraving with gold wire inlaid borders surrounding highly detailed panel scenes of game birds with a flock of doves on the right and quails on the left. Each bird is rendered in fine semi-relief gold inlay and set against detailed environmental backgrounds. The trigger guard is engraved to match. With a jewelled bolt carrier and lifter. Highly figured walnut forearm and pistol grip stock with carved fleur-de-lis accents, right hand palm swell, blue steel Winchester grip cap, and solid rubber Winchester buttplate. Stock measurements are: drop at comb 1 1/8 inches; drop at heel 1 3/4 inches; length of pull 15 1/8 inches.

Very fine as embellished by Master Engraver Angelo Bee. 95% of the current high polish blue finish remains with some scattered surface scratches, cycling marks on the magazine tube, handling marks, sharp engraving and inlays, and slightly light (though legible) barrel markings. The highly figured wood is also very fine with attractive dark figure, crisp checkering and carving, and some small dings. Mechanically excellent.
