Manufactured from 1936-1963. It has standard markings including Winchester factory oval proofs on the barrel and receiver at the breech and the desirable red "WINCHESTER" marking on the bottom of the action. Single bead sight, 28 gauge 2 7/8 inch chamber, and choke marked "FULL". Mounted with a smooth forearm and pistol grip stock with a checkered Winchester buttplate and 14 1/8 inch length of pull. Includes an unnumbered Winchester Model 37 box and hanging tags.

Fine, retains 50% plus original blue finish with the balance thinned to a smooth brown patina and bright grey patina at the edges and high spots. The wood is also very good with some minor dings and scratches scattered throughout. Mechanically excellent. The box is fine with moderate wear, some minor tears, and good color. This 28 gauge is the most sought after of all Model 37 Winchesters!
