Manufactured in 1953 and subsequently engraved, and gold inlaid by Master Engraver, Montana Cowboy Hall of Fame inductee, and gun maker Aaron "Butch" Pursley. Ramped beaded blade front and three folding leaf express notch rear sights mounted on a raised quarter rib, barrel mounted sling swivel eye, and standard receiver markings. The rifle features copious amounts of sharp scroll engraving with gold inlaid accents and scroll, starting at the barrel band, the top of the quarter rib, and full coverage scroll engraving on the receiver. The bolt handle knob is engraved to match with a gold highlighted bear on the side of the knob. The floorplate features flowing scroll and a detailed moose bust. The receiver bridge is signed "AP/13", and the rear of the trigger guard is signed "Eng. A. PURSLEY". Highly figured, multi-point checkered pistol grip stock with brass and steel engraved grip cap, raised shadow-line cheekpiece, and engraved skeleton buttplate. Aaron "Butch" Pursley of Big Sandy, Montana earned early fame on the competitive rodeo circuit before retiring in 1970. An engraver since his 20s Pursley would go on to create art for celebrities such as Priscilla Presley and Peter Fonda. In the early 1990s, he was recognized as a Master Engraver by the Firearms Engravers Guild of America, and in 1996, he helped found the Little Sharps Rifle Company.

Exceptionally fine as Master embellished with 99% high quality blue finish remaining, sharp, detailed engraving, exceptional gold inlays, and a few light handling marks. The stock is very fine with attractive, dark figure, sharp checkering, and just a few small dings. Mechanically excellent.
