This pistol was pictured on the cover of the July 1994 issue of "The Gun Report" with a similar knife and a corner tang stone point (included). It has a post-1813 Birmingham proofed brass barrel marked "EXTRA/SHARPE/PROOF" on top of the breech section, "SHARPE" marked lock with light engraving, light engraving on some of the brass furniture, and red painted hardwood stock. The flask is painted the same color. The knife has a 6 3/8 inch blade, pinned wood scales, and a stud accented sheath with feather (appears to be turkey), shell, and hair (probably horse) tassels.

Very good with aged patina on the brass, mostly bright lock with minor pitting, general mild wear, some rub wear and general dings and scratches in the red paint, small repaired chip by the nose of the lock, minor hairline cracks, and general mild wear. Mechanically fine. The knife is fair and has a heavily worn and rusty blade. The flask is good and has a missing spout. The sheath is very good and has one missing stud at the tip, mild rub wear, and light scratches and marks. The point is very fine.
