Description:

This 1841 dated Robert Johnson Model 1836 pistol has the standard markings and features other than the stock which has very attractive, highly figured burl walnut visible in the wrist section, something scarcely seen on antique martial pistols.

Rating Definition:

Fine with light gray and brown patina on the barrel and furniture, some polishing lines and light pitting concentrated on the barrel, light original case colors on the lock, and distinct markings. The stock is also fine and has a coat of varnish applied overall, attractive flame figure, minor flakes and wear at some of the edges, general mild scrapes and dings, and distinct cartouches. Mechanically fine.
