This attractive rifle was likely built in the Victorian Era. The barrel has seven-groove rifling, a bead style front sight, no rear sight, and no visible markings. The lock is finely engraved with birds, scrolls, a stag, and a double headed imperial eagle on the wheel cover. It has a single set trigger with a brass plate, and an iron finger groove trigger guard. The stock has extensive inlays featuring a variety of animals, scrolls, orbs, and floral blooms. The cheek piece has a single headed imperial eagle. The wood patch box lid is inlaid like the stock. It has a flat horn buttplate.

Fine with gray patina and minor spotting on the iron, aged patina on the trigger groups which is somewhat loose, generally distinct engraving and carving throughout, some minor dings and scrapes on the stock, and a few chipped or somewhat loose inlays. The lock internals are incomplete.
