The barrel block has a band of foliate engraving at the muzzle and London proofs in the flutes. Scroll engraving is present on the hammer, action, trigger guard and sliding safety, with a smooth trigger, integral nipple guard, a blank inscription banner on the back strap, and a pair of finely checkered bag shaped grips.

Very fine, with 30% of the original faded casehardened finish, showing areas of pitting, small patches of surface corrosion on the hammer and safety and sections of brown patina on the barrel. The frame shows an attractive patina, a scratch extending from the side plate screw, and mild handling marks. The right screw escutcheon is loose, otherwise the grips are very good with some mild pressure dents. Mechanically excellent.
