Manufactured in 1901 and subsequently custom embellished. The revolver features a Cuno Helfricht style custom engraving. The engraving generally consists of floral scrollwork on a punch dot background as featured on the barrel and frame. The cylinder has alternating flourishes of scrollwork and sun burst patterns between each flute and a band of zig-zag and dot line motifs along the rear. The barrel has the one-line address inside an engraved panel on top and "45 COLT" inside an engraved banner. The left side of the frame has the two-line patent dates along with a circled Rampant Colt amongst the scrollwork. Additional zig-zag and dot lines appear on the ejector rod housing, butt and down the back strap. Additional scrollwork appears on the ejector rod housing and trigger guard. A star burst motif is engraved on the recoil shield. The top of the back strap has a Helfricht style fan motif outlined in a wavy border. Matching numbers are stamped on the frame, trigger guard, and back strap. Niter blue ejector rod head, cylinder pin, cylinder pin release, and screw heads, leaving the remaining surfaces nickel-plated. Comes with a hobbyist double-sided Plexiglas display case.

Exceptionally fine as custom embellished retaining 99% of the nickel finish showing limited light flaking on the back strap. Nearly all of the niter blue remains. The well-fitting grips are very fine with a couple dimples and a long hairline crack on the right panel and having highly attractive color. Mechanically excellent.
