Manufactured in the 1940s, this pistol shows a number of features associated with Walther pistols destined for issue to the SS, namely the serial numbering on the slide (the SS is noted as using externally numbered slides before doing so became a more general practice) and magazines; both of the included magazines (the traditional flat base and black plastic extension combo) are matching numbered on the spine, with "1" on the extension magazine and "2" on the flat base mag. (This pistol is not listed specifically by serial number in Steven Stepan's "SS Walther PP/PPK Identification and Documents".) Fixed sights, with "eagle/N" proofs on the slide, chamber and muzzle, matching external numbers on the slide and frame, 60 degree safety and checkered grips. Included with the lot is an "SU44"/"Eagle over 170" proofed black leather holster.

Excellent, with 98% of the bright original high polish blue finish, showing bright wear on the high edges, and mild handling marks. The grips are also excellent, with a few light dings, and the holster shows mild scuffing and scratches. Mechanically excellent.
