Description:

Manufactured in 1943, this pistol falls into a 1,500-piece range identified in Jan Still's "Axis Pistols" as destined for delivery to German forces in occupied France in March of 1943. As these pistols were direct-delivered to the Wehrmacht in the field, they were not subjected to inspection by the Waffenamt (Weapons Office) and are properly devoid of "eagle" or "WaA" stamps. Blade front and 1000-meter tangent rear sights, with the three-line model, caliber, patent and address markings on the side plate and a set of Spanish proofs on the right side of the frame. Fitted with a large ring hammer, niter blue small parts and a set of ribbed grips. Included with the pistol is a hardwood shoulder stock numbered "842" on the iron.

Rating Definition:

Excellent, with 95% of the original blue finish, showing a number of light dents and scratches, bright edge wear, and a few hints of brown and gray patina. Bright niter blue is present on the safety and trigger, and the fine grips show some light dents and scuffs. The body of the stock is very fine, with a replaced Mauser iron and some light handling marks. Mechanically excellent.
