Description:

Manufactured in 1938, the VIS-35 Pistol was the standard sidearm of Poland, and following the invasion and occupation in September 1939, it became a secondary arm for the Wehrmacht. The pre-occupation pistols show a level of fit and finish not seen on the ones produced for the Germans and bear the Polish Eagle on the left side of the slide between the model, date and patent markings. Fixed sights, "F.B. RADOM/1938r." and "VIS-wz.35/pat.Nr.15567" on the left side of the mismatched replacement slide, and numerous small proofs on both sides of the trigger guard. "TP 870" has been added by hand to the left side of the slide. The frame is numbered "35379", with the barrel numbered "5379" on the back of the lug and "379" on the left, "17913" on the slide and "7913" on the extractor. Equipped with a takedown catch and a slotted back strap for mounting a stock and fitted with a pair of checkered grips marked "FB" and "VIS" on the left and right side respectively.

Rating Definition:

Fine, with 80% of the blue finish, showing some mild edge wear, scratches and spotting. There is the letter "T" followed by "870" scratched into left top side of slide. The grips are fine, with some nicks visible around the screws, mild scuffs and dents. Mechanically excellent.
