Description:

Manufactured circa 1893 with a nickel-silver blade front sight "476 'W G' MODEL 1892" on the left side of the top strap, fixed notch in the barrel latch for a rear sight, "WEBLEY/PATENTS" and the bullet trademark on the left side of the frame, the serial number on the opposite side, "church steeple" cylinder flutes (not used after 1893 per Bruce and Reinhart's "Webley Revolvers"), "533" on the front of the cylinder, "496" on the back of the cylinder, Birmingham proofs, smooth grips numbered to another gun, and lanyard ring on the butt.

Rating Definition:

Fine with 60% plus original blue finish, gray and brown patina on the balance, moderate scratches and dings, and general moderate wear consistent with a fair amount of use, perhaps by a British officer. The slightly undersize grips are very good and have numerous scrapes and dings overall. Mechanically excellent.
