Description:

Dated "1939" over the chamber and marked "S/42" on the top of the toggle. Two "eagle/63" proofs and the spread winged eagle firing proof appear on the right side of the chamber, with the latter also appearing on the right side of the barrel and the left side of the breechblock. The upper safety area and extractor are marked "GESICHERT" and "GELADEN" respectively, with a full blue finish and checkered grips. Except for the grips, serial numbers are matching overall, including both of the blue finished alloy base magazines (one also marked "+" to indicate the spare). With a brown leather flap holster dated "1939" and marked "WaA121" and "Karl Barth/Waldbrol" on the back.

Rating Definition:

Excellent, with 90% plus of the original blue finish remaining, showing some bright edge wear, the start of a brown and gray patina on the grip straps, and mild handling marks overall. The grips are very fine, with some minor wear and dings visible on the bottom of both panels. The fine holster shows light staining and scuffing appropriate to age and use. Mechanically excellent.
