Manufactured between 1921 and 1931 with around 40,000 produced. The pistol includes a November 23, 1945 dated capture certificate which identifies the pistol as "One German Pistol Cal 32/Serial # 928". The certificate does not give a location of acquisition; however, the consignor notes the pistol as being a Japanese private purchase. European .32 caliber handguns were popular items for private purchase by Japanese officers. Fixed blade and notch sights, "DWM" monogram on the left side of the slide, "crown/N" proofs on the slide and barrel, and checkered grips.

Rating Definition:

Very fine with 90% original blue finish, areas of high point and edge wear, small surface scratches, and some light spotting. The grips are also very fine with well-defined, moderately worn checkering and some small dings. Mechanically needs work as the firing pin is broken.
