Manufactured in June of 1944 and later arsenal upgraded to M1D Sniper configuration. Blade front and peep rear sights, with a Springfield "S-A-1-52" barrel with integral scope base. Internal components include a Springfield bolt, hammer, safety, and relief-cut operating rod, and a "W.R.A." trigger housing. The M84 scope is numbered "33872" on the data plate, with a sliding metal front sun shield, black rubber eyepiece, and an attached tag from the Raritan Arsenal; the tag is a numbered match for the scope, and notes that the item was factory repaired, inspected and accepted in 1956. The stock is marked with an uncircled "P" on the wrist and a Raritan Arsenal "RA" stamp on the left side of the buttstock, with a Hart M2 flash hider and a checkered buttplate.

Very fine as arsenal upgraded to M1D specification, with 95% of the parkerized finish, showing some light handling marks and edge wear overall. A crack is visible in the upper handguard, with the rest of the stock in very good condition, showing some light dings and spots. The optics are crisp, with minor handling marks on the tube. Mechanically excellent.
