Description:

Designed as both an improvement and replacement for the Stevens Model 520-30. Manufactured under government contract and not swept up in the "blanket procurement" process. This shotgun features the correct "S" type bayonet lug and six row ventilated heat shield, "P/flaming bomb" marked barrel, matching "P" proofs on top of the barrel and receiver at the breech, "P/flaming bomb" proofs at the front left of the receiver, and "U.S." at the left rear. Smooth, round slide handle and pistol grip stock without inspection marks, and serrated buttplate. Length of pull is 14 inches.

Rating Definition:

Fine with 70% original blue finish, areas of edge wear, cycling marks, some areas of pitting visible at the muzzle and left side of the receiver, very clear markings, and some loss of the "plum" anodized finish on the bayonet lug. There is a 3 inch crack visible on the left side of the slide handle, small dings throughout, and some larger dents on the left side of the otherwise fine buttstock. Mechanically excellent.
