Description:

Manufactured in 1928. Fixed sights, with the two-line address and patent markings on the left side of the slide, "COLT AUTOMATIC/CALIBRE .45" on the right, along with the Rampant Colt, and the matching serial number on the rear underneath the firing pin stop. The frame is marked "1/VP" and "51" on the trigger guard, with a milled short trigger, checkered wide hammer, long grip safety, checkered slide stop, thumb safety and mainspring housing; checkered grips, and an unmarked two-tone commercial magazine.

Rating Definition:

Very fine, with 95% of the original high polish blue finish, showing some wear and dings along the high edges, scattered handling marks, and a small amount of spotting. Some markings have been removed from the underside of the replacement, repolished barrel. The grips are excellent, with a few small dings. Mechanically excellent.
