The two sets are identical and would have been used by Winchester's salesmen to display the plethora of military cartridges manufactured by Winchester. Each set is contained in a black cardboard box with Winchester military ammunition label on the lid and numbered list of contents inside the lid that also pictures of military firearms manufactured by Winchester including the M1 Garand, Carbine, and Model 97 Trench Gun. The dummy cartridges displayed in the kit include .50 M-2, .50 M-1, variations of 12 gauge shotgun shells, .30 M-2 ball, .303 British, .30 M-1 carbine, .45 A.C., .38 S&W Special, 9mm Parabellum, and .22 Long Rifle.

Both kits are very fine or better with minimal exterior corner wear, a couple of the shot shells leaking some contents, and one of the kits having mildly loose tie down straps.
