Description:

Introduced in 1935, this is one of only 869 Registered Magnums manufactured with a 5 inch barrel. It has a McGivern bead front sight, adjustable "U" notch rear sight, "REG. 1679" stamped on the inside of the frame, and matching serial numbers on the butt, right grip panel, cylinder, and ejector shroud.

Rating Definition:

Excellent, retaining 98% plus original blue finish with slight muzzle wear, a cylinder drag line and some minor handling evidence with front strap screw countersunk for a grip adaptor. 99% plus original case colors remain on the hammer and trigger. The grips are very good with high edge wear, repaired chip near the bottom, minor handling marks and crisp checkering overall. Mechanically excellent. Provenance: Dr. Gerald Klaz collection.
