The casehardened box lock action has removable firing pin disks and standard maker's marks on the sides. Standard proofs and matching serial numbers. With dual triggers and automatic sliding tang safety. Checkered forearm with Anson latch and pistol grip stock with casehardened steel grip cap, sling eyes on the stock and barrels, and solid recoil pad. With canvas and leather travel case with Purdey's interior label, sling, and small tools. Stock measurements are: drop at comb 1 5/8 inches; drop at heel 2 1/2 inches; length of pull 14 1/2 inches; weight 10 lbs. 9 oz.

Fine as professionally refurbished with 99% of the current blue finish on the barrels, some traces of light pitting under the blue, mild handling marks, and slightly light barrel markings. The action has a coat of protective varnish applied with 75% vibrant original case colors, edge wear, and some mixed gray patina. The wood is also fine with crisp freshened checkering, scattered small dings, and a small visible repair on the left side near the butt. Mechanically excellent. Case is very good with mild storage marks.
