The barrels are proof dated "1036" with pre-war proofs. Casehardened receiver with self-cocking Blitz action, bolstered frame, double Kersten locks, flourishes of light floral and scroll engraving, dual triggers, and tang mounted sliding safety. Checkered pistol grip stock with horn trigger guard and grip cap, checkered forearm with lightly engraved fittings, raised cheekpiece, and horn heel and toe caps on a checkered bare butt. Barrel and stock measurements are (U/O): bore diameter at 9 inches from breech proofed at "16/1" (669) and measured at .669/.669; choke constriction .027/.030; minimum wall thickness .029/.029; drop at comb 1 7/8 inches; drop at heel 3 1/4 inches; length of pull 14 1/2 inches; weight 6 lbs. 6 oz..

Fine. The barrels have 80% original blue finish, areas of edge wear, small ding at the muzzle of the lower barrel, surface scratches, and legible markings. The receiver has a mostly gray patina with 25% original case colors (contained in the protected areas), and well-defined engraving. The screw heads show some marring and the upper tang is not completely tight. The wood is also good with small dings throughout, scratches, and dents, and well-defined checkering with the exception of the butt which is worn. Mechanically excellent.
