Manufactured in 1911. Blade front and frame notch rear sights, two-line address and patent marking on top of the barrel, caliber notation on the left side, and a small "N" proof on the underside at the breech. The left side of the trigger guard is stamped with the Colt "VP" proof and "3", and the side plate is marked with the "Rampant Colt" backed by a stylized "C". The revolver is finished in the Colt high polish blue with smooth nitre blue trigger and hammer with knurled spur and polished sides. Fitted with correct smooth, unmarked wood grips and the butt marked "U.S.N./anchor/45 DA/No./549".

Excellent. 90% plus bright original high polish blue finish remains with areas of high point and edge wear, cylinder drag line, numerous small scratches, nicks and dings throughout, and mixed blue/brown patina on the back grip strap. The lightly refinished grips are very fine with small dings overall. Mechanically excellent.
