This is a beautiful example of an original Nazi commercially proofed Walther factory engraved PPK semi-automatic pistol that has been highly embellished with deep relief chiseled engraving in the traditional Germanic oak leaf and acorn type engraving with a light geometric border. The engraving covers most of the pistol. This pattern is very similar to several of the special order engraved Walthers shown in "Walther Volume II, Engraved, Presentation and Standard Walther Pistols" by Rankin. The serial number is stamped on the right side of the frame, and the last three digits, "451", are correctly scratched on the inside of the slide. The left side of the slide is marked with "Walther" inside a banner followed by the standard two-line address and caliber followed by "Mod PPK." It has the standard front and rear sights and the 60 degree safety. It is fitted with the standard original early production mottled, brown plastic, checkered grips with the Walther Banner at the top of each side. It is complete with an original light brown leatherette Walther case complete with two original magazines, (one with the brown plastic finger extension base plate and the other with the standard flat base plate), an original cleaning rod, and two dummies and one spent cartridge cases.

Excellent with 98% of its original blue finish and a hint of edge wear on the very front of the slide. The engraving and markings are sharp and distinct. The grips are also in excellent condition with slight warpage on the lower front edges of each grip typically seen during this period of production on this style of grip. The case is in very fine condition with 95% plus of the outer cover remaining, only minor edge wear in a couple places, and a small separation on the front right corner. A really super nice, high condition, beautiful factory engraved Walther PPK.
