Originally manufactured about 1939-1941, the three digit numbered VKT Lahti Series 1A pistols were originally contract production for the Finnish Army that did not pass inspection; often military contract requirements are tighter than what is needed to produce a good pistol, resulting in otherwise perfectly good guns that can't be delivered. Only around 100 are believed to have been made, which were used as factory presentation pieces or sold commercially with the exception of five pistols that were bought by Finnish armed forces. Fixed sights, with "VKT/L-35" on the barrel extension, matching numbers on the extension, bolt and frame, and "VKT" logos on the grips. Includes a brown leather flap holster, which also contains a brass cleaning rod and an extra magazine.

Excellent, with 90% plus of the original blue finish, showing some bright edge wear, light handling marks and a few areas of bright gray patina. The grips are very good, with some handling marks and verdigris buildup. The holster is very good, with heavy verdigris on and around the cleaning rod and mild scuffing. Mechanically excellent.
