Description:

Developed in Italy, the BM59 was an improved/upgrade M1 Garand designed like the American M14, an infantry rifle that fed 7.62x51 NATO ammunition from a detachable 20-shot magazine. With this low of a serial number, this receiver was likely part of the first year of production. Fixed front and adjustable peep rear sights, with an integral grenade launching muzzle, flip-up grenade sight, and a folding bipod on the gas tube. The receiver is fitted with a flip-down winter trigger, and has Springfield Armory import marks. Walnut pistol grip stock with grasping grooves and rubber buttpad. With storage box, and numbered to gun, manual, oiler, and tools.

Rating Definition:

Excellent overall with 99% original parkerized finish, light handling marks overall, and some light cycling marks on the receiver and bolt carrier. Mechanically excellent.
