Description:

Manufactured in 1890, per the Winchester Arms Collectors Association, as a third model with integral dust cover rail and dust cover with rear serrations. Standard two-line address/King's patent marking and "38 W.C.F." on top of the barrel that is fitted with a dovetailed German silver blade front sight, with the rear sight dovetail empty. Mounted with a smooth forearm and straight grip stock with a trapdoor crescent buttplate (cleaning rod not included).

Rating Definition:

Very good, retains 30% plus original blue finish and faint original case colors on the hammer with the balance a grey-brown patina. The rear sight is absent. The lightly sanded and reoiled wood is also very good and has some minor handling marks scattered throughout with a few small filled spots on the buttstock. Mechanically needs adjustment.
