Manufactured in 1894 with standard Winchester markings, Lyman beaded blade front and elevation adjustable notch rear sights. A second front sight dovetail has been added 1 1/4 inches behind the original front sight and has a filler blank in place. Mounted with a smooth forearm and straight grip stock with a crescent buttplate.

Good, retains some bright nitre blue on the loading gate and scant traces of original blue finish in sheltered areas with the balance showing mostly a grey patina mixed with brown in some areas and a few spots of minor pitting on the left barrel flat along the edge of the forearm. The wood is very good with some scattered minor dings and scratches. Mechanically excellent.
