Only around 2,000 of these revolvers were manufactured c. 1873-1875 base on the Richards-Mason conversion system. It has a post front sight, hammer notch rear sight, two-line Hartford barrel address, two-line 1871 and 1872 patent marking on the left side of the frame, "36 CAL" on the left trigger guard shoulder, matching visible serial numbers as well as the grip, and "521" assembly number on the loading gate.

Very fine with 90% plus original nickel plating on the barrel, cylinder, and frame; 60% vibrant case colors on the hammer, 90% original silver on the back strap, 20% original silver on the front strap concentrated around the trigger guard, light aged patina on the exposed brass, and light scratches and dings. The grip is fine with 60% plus of the original varnish finish, small scrapes and dents, and moderate lower edge wear. Mechanically excellent.
