Manufactured in 1866 as a "Model 6" in .31 caliber with 3 1/2 inch barrel and the stagecoach holdup scene roll stamped on the cylinder. The top of the barrel is marked "ADDRESS COL. COLT/NEW-YORK U.S.A." Matching serial numbers on the butt, bottom of the barrel, and cylinder. "31 CAL" is marked on the right of the frame under the hammer.

Very good, retains 30% original blue finish primarily on the frame and faint traces of case color patterns with the balance a mottled grey-brown patina. The grip is also very good with some scattered minor dings and scratches, and retaining most of the varnish. Mechanically fine.

COLT/NEW-YORK U.S.A." and the patent date is on the cylinder in of the flutes. Matching serial numbers on the butt and bottom of the barrel, and "31 CAL" is marked on the right of the frame under the hammer.
