Description:

Manufactured from 1878 to 1892. Matching serial numbers are on the butt, right grip panel, cylinder, barrel, and barrel latch. Comes with period correct and proper factory walnut case, a rare item on its own merit.

Rating Definition:

Excellent, retaining 97% original nickel finish with a couple patches of gray mixed with light pitting on the cylinder, otherwise some very light flaking. 98% original case colors remain on the hammer. Nearly all of the original blue finish remains on the barrel latch and trigger. The grips are very fine with some minor handling marks and crisp checkering overall. Mechanically excellent. The case is very good with a faded interior lid label, minor handling/storage marks and typical high spot wear on the lining. Provenance: Dr. Gerald Klaz collection.
